Everything we’ve been working for is on the line today. This is the official FEC Fundraising Reporting Deadline, the only one before voting begins. You can make a Citizen Donation online here.

I’ll be honest, things have been so intense at the State Capitol this month that I haven’t been able to devote as much time to raising funds for the congressional campaign.

So after a very strong first two months, which established us as the frontrunner, we are in danger of falling below that brisk pace. That would be exactly the kind of opening our opponents are hoping for.

In order to keep up our strong pace, today has to be our biggest day yet. If you can help out, in whatever amount you can, the full force and effect of your support will be greater today than any time in the campaign.

I know you are prudent with your funds, so I want to be fully transparent about the impact of your investment:

  • First, it immediately makes our campaign stronger, since a robust war chest acts as a deterrent against our opponents launching attacks.
  • Second, it prevents us from having to reduce our budget, which would mean reaching fewer voters through our TV ads, mailers, and volunteer materials.
  • Third, it provides me an instant source of inner strength. Knowing you are by my side fighting with me is energizing and motivating beyond words.
