This week, we are holding an oversight hearing in the Judiciary Committee on the catastrophic failures of Gavin Newsom. I’ve been working to organize the hearing ever since the fires in LA; you can watch it Thursday morning at this link. There will finally be some accountability.

We are now using every tool available to Newsom-proof our state – that is, to protect our communities and restore sanity. This weekend, I gave a speech to the Placer GOP laying out each pillar of our Newsom-Proofing plan. You can watch it here.

That plan, of course, is already well underway. Our emphatic victory over Newsom with Prop. 36 has already put many long-time criminals out of business; and our Supreme Court victory has led to the removal of countless homeless encampments.

Our next step is the Freedom to Cooperate Act, which I introduced on Friday. This bill overrides the Sanctuary State by enabling jurisdictions in California to opt out of it. Those that want to do the right thing and cooperate with federal immigration enforcement will be liberated to do so.

We’re also starting to restore common sense forest management. The Fix Our Forests Act, a bill I sponsored, just passed the House. And President Trump just made comments indicating he will sign my bill to cut off funding for the High-Speed Rail debacle.

And we’ve successfully shamed Newsom again. After my exchange with President Trump, where he noted California has “so much water,” I posted a viral video of water cascading out a dam. Newsom then suddenly ordered agencies “to capture and store as much water as possible.”

Our movement is reshaping the future of California and – because “there can be no Golden Age without the Golden State” – that of the country as well.

Help me Newsom-Proof California
