Kevin Kiley is a Republican California Legislator fighting back against the Supermajority and Special Interests at the State Capitol and Washington D.C. The House of Representatives has passed my Resolution to stop Gavin Newsom’s insane gas car ban. The overwhelming bipartisan vote was a major victory for common sense and a key milestone in our plan to Newsom-Proof California.

Newsom, defeated and humiliated, immediately lashed out at me, calling my legislation the work of "Trump Republicans hellbent on making California smoggy again." This would come as a surprise to the 35 House Democrats who joined us in passing it.

Perhaps Newsom should be focused on California’s own Legislature, which fell to a new low of disgrace last week. As I discussed on Newsmax, the Supermajority came down on the side of child predators, deciding it should not be a felony to purchase 16-year-olds for sex.

Also disturbing: We’ve learned California's Obamacare website tracked users' personal health information – such as pregnancy or prescription drug use – and sent it to LinkedIn for a "marketing campaign." I’ve asked Secretary Kennedy to investigate for HIPAA violations.

On the House Floor, I derided an announcement from High-Speed Rail setting the "ambitious" goal of finishing a line from Palmdale to Gilroy by 2045 (the entire LA-SF project was supposed to be done by 2020); and I set out exactly how high our gas prices are compared to other states.

I also went on CNN to address the Democrats’ odd fixation with an illegal immigrant from El Salvador with ties to MS-13. They never mention that Biden let 10 million others into the country, or that 450,000 unaccompanied children were released to often unvetted "sponsors."

And finally, Kamala Harris reappeared with a “major” speech in San Francisco. I'm starting to think she can do a great service to our state and country. If she runs for Governor, California may elect a Republican for the first time in 20 years.
