Donations by Individuals

An individual may contribute up to $6,600 for the 2023-2024 election cycle.

Donations by Couples

For a married couple, the limit is $13,200 for the 2023-2024 election cycle. If you are making a donation as a couple, you can just indicate the name of your spouse in the comment field (if online) or memo line (if by check).

For example, if you donate $6,600 and indicate the name of your spouse, this will be recorded as a $3,300 donation by each of you.

Donations by Businesses

Some types of business entities can donate and others cannot:

Incorporated companies are not allowed to donate.
Unincorporated companies may donate, but the donation must be attributed to specific individual owners and apply to the owners’ limits.
An LLC may contribute if it is not taxed as a corporation.
An S corporation may not contribute.
