The CDC now reports that prior infection offers better protection than vaccination. I’m calling on Newsom to credit natural immunity in all COVID policies immediately.
Of course, he has refused. Just as he still refuses to revoke his student vaccine mandate, which every other state has rejected. Worse, Senate Bill 866 seeks to cut parents out entirely, letting 12-year-olds get the COVID vaccine without parental consent.
Meanwhile, LA schools just announced that “students will be required to wear a non-cloth mask with a nose wire at all times.” And the ultimate form of government control – Single Payer Healthcare – just passed the Appropriations Committee and is on to a vote by the full Assembly.
While in LA this week, Newsom marveled that “we look like a third world country.” It was a classic gaffe: a politician accidentally telling the truth. But the better comparison may be to the medieval world, where truth itself is an instrument of state power.
There is some good news. The Supreme Court has struck down Biden’s employer mandate, and in California, the leader of the Legislature’s “Vaccine Work Group” says they don’t have the votes for any new mandates to take effect this year.
Our battles in 2022 go beyond standard fare politics. We are now in a fight for America’s Founding principles.
