Yesterday I had to report that we were at serious risk of missing our June 30 goal of $100,000 raised. Now, I have some good news: supporters have responded in a major way. Thank you!
But we are not there yet. We are nearly two-thirds of the way, which is real momentum. But tonight’s midnight deadline is approaching very fast.
Will you contribute at this link before midnight to help us get there?
It’s worth taking a moment to recap how we got here.
1. We defeated Newsom again and again – overturning his gas-car ban, cutting off high-speed rail, making crime illegal again, and so much more.
2. He sent his own staff member to run against us last time. We won by 45,000 votes.
3. Since Newsom couldn’t win playing by the rules, he changed the rules. He redrew California’s entire congressional map specifically to target our district.
4. Newsom’s ally Richard Pan filed to run again us, a radical anti-parent legislator who authored a K-12 COVID vaccine mandate.
5. Against all odds, we finished in first place in the primary, making history in the process.
6. This is the part that remains unwritten: the general election.
Will we foil Newsom’s corrupt scheme and supercharge our movement – or will Newsom get exactly what he wants?
You have the power to help make sure this story ends the right way.
Your contribution by midnight tonight will help us foil Newsom’s plans and defeat Richard Pan.
While the election itself is a few months away, the deadline tonight will fundamentally impact the trajectory of the whole race.
It will be the most important signal that we are building a grassroots campaign so strong as to overcome Newsom’s attempt to stack the deck against is.
That’s what this goal is all about. If we meet it, the momentum will be on our side. If we fall short, our opponents will take comfort.
Newsom’s political machine is prepared to spend enormous sums on attack ads, and he and Pan would love nothing more than for us not to have the funding to set the record straight.
That’s why this report is so important. That’s why your help by midnight tonight is so crucial.
I’d be truly grateful for a contribution of $25, $150, or any amount you can give in time for tonight’s deadline.
Thank you!
Kevin
