A new NBC survey finds Gavin Newsom has the lowest favorability rating of any politician polled. Our two-pronged mission – Newsom-proofing California while stopping him from taking his failures national – is right on track.  

This comes as we’ve just gotten an update on Newsom’s indicted Chief of Staff. She received a $50,000 payout upon leaving his office under federal investigation. She's since been indicted for 23 felonies as part of a public corruption probe that began under Biden’s DOJ. 

And alarmingly, Newsom’s Parole Board is freeing another serial child molester. Gregory Vogelsang was sentenced to 355 years in prison for victimizing five children in Citrus Heights. He's now being released thanks to Newsom's "elderly" parole law and his reckless appointees.

If this weren’t enough, Newsom’s CARB board is about to raise the price of gas another dollar.  I noted in a Floor Speech how we're already paying 57 cents more than second-place Hawaii and even importing from the Bahamas. My Gas Tax Reduction legislation will give some relief.

And then, there’s the insane “wealth tax,” which my I’m seeking to preempt with the Keep Jobs in California Act. As I noted on CBS News, Kalanick, Zuckerberg, Page, Brin, Thiel, and Ellison already left. Many more will follow rather than let a failing government seize their assets.

And I went on MSNBC to make the case for Voter ID: for most voters worldwide, presenting ID is a basic administrative requirement of democracy. Its absence would seem bizarre. And the vast majority of Democrats, Independents, and Republicans in America support it as well.

Incredibly, Newsom is now spending $19 million in taxpayer funds on a national PR campaign to rehab California’s “image.” Even he is acknowledging the harm he’s done to our state – not least through his gerrymandering scheme. You may have heard about how I've decided to fight back.
