Gavin Newsom’s shadow presidential campaign was based on a delusional premise: that California is a “model for the nation.” This line, it turns out, was plagiarized. Newsom took it from none other than Kamala Harris.
When Kamala endorsed Newsom for Governor in 2018, she said: “California leadership is about national leadership. What we do here is a role model of what can be done around the country.” Now, it appears Kamala has chosen a Gavin Newsom wannabe for Vice President.
Tim Walz, as Minnesota Governor, has simply copied California’s worst policies: pro-sanctuary, anti-police, anti-parent. With this pick, it’s clear the California as “role model” line is not just rhetoric. It is the reality of what Kamala would inflict on America.
We, of course, know what a disaster this would be. Our beautiful state has suffered immensely under the weight of failed politics. It is up to us to sound the alarm: that California is not a model for the nation, but a warning to the nation.
Yesterday, I highlighted the case of a 2022 mass shooting that killed 6 people in Sacramento. The shooter should have been prison, having been sentenced to 10 years for a heinous act of domestic violence. But he was let out under an early release law enabled by Kamala Harris.
As I discussed on the Charlie Kirk show, Kamala called rape of an unconscious person, human trafficking with minors, and domestic violence “non-violent” crimes. She did this to deceive voters into passing an initiative that released tens of thousands of serious offenders early.
As we face this national threat, we have newfound hope in California. After defeating Newsom to get our initiative on the ballot, we are on the verge of reversing Prop. 47. And thanks to our Supreme Court victory, homeless encampments are being removed across the state.
We can end this era of political insanity in California – and stop Kamala from spreading it to the rest of the country.
